We offer Professional Disc Jockey and Lighting Services for Weddings, Private Parties, Corporate Functions, and Nightlife.
We offer a wide range of services such as custom intelligent moving head and up-lighting designs to help you transform the look of any space, which helps to promote a club-like and family friendly atmosphere for dancing and fun! We also provide custom static and animated monogram designs, pin spots for the sweetheart, cake, and card tables, dancing on the clouds, haze atmospheric effects, and of course, a club co2 cannon. All of these features are key to help entice your guests to get on their feet and dance the night way!
We book all types of events all year around. For Weddings, a good time frame is 1 - 2 years out from the event. However, we are available for last minute events as well, depending on our availability.
For Private Parties, Corporate Functions, and Nightlife, we recommend a minimum of 1 -2 months out from the date, depending on our availability.
For private events and corporate functions, we charge a base hourly rate. Then any additional services such as atmospheric effects, equipment needs, or event planning etc., are added on to determine your total cost.
For weddings, we do not charge by the hour, as we feel that no two weddings are alike. We offer five different packages deals that are all individually customizable. You can add-on any of our additional services to our wedding packages to customize your event.
To get us started, we need a retainer from you. That retainer holds your date and is taken out of the final balance. Then the remaining balance is due a minimum of two weeks before the wedding, or unless otherwise noted in our contract. Yes, we do contacts. We try to make all of the payments as simple as possible, so your free to use Cash, Check, or Venmo. If you would like to learn more about our pricing, please fill out our contact page to get started.
We do not include gratuity in the final contract price, but a 15 - 25% tip is generally recommended if the DJ did a great job. This is entirely up to you.
We have been DJing well over a decade! The best part about us is that you can actually see the Architect out on a regular basis at a variety of bars, clubs, and casinos in the Northeast.
Just hop on over to our Home page to check his schedule and to keep in touch!
One of the most important days of your life shouldn't be where a new DJ learns their craft for a lower cost. What sets us apart is that we have an established and experienced DJ who has perfected his craft at numerous weddings, private parties, corporate functions, and in the club scene. Not to mention, his Architectural background gives him an advantage, as he understands lighting locations, sounds variances throughout the room, wedding transitions, schedule coordination, and has variety of tips and tricks to help make your event succeed at all phases of design.
Poor equipment is the unfortunate downfall of an amateur event or wedding DJ. This is not something anyone booking a professional DJ should have to worry about. If a DJ is the best at mixing and transitioning, but his speakers hum and crackle, no one will remember how good he can mix and MC the event. If the music is to loud or untruly, then the guest's experience with the event will be downgraded.
People visually remember the DJs setup, presentation, dress, and how the music effects them, which is why at Architect Entertainment, we only use cutting edge equipment with no random wires or blown speakers. Architect Entertainment set-ups look as good as they sound. Spectacular.
We do take songs requests and will often play most of them, however we often filter the requests from guests that we receive. This means that if a guest requests a song that you specified as a "Do Not Play," we won't play it. On the other hand, if someone requests a song that does fit the vibe and music choices you selected, we will most likely will play it.
The Architect is an event professional and knows which records will get the dance floor going and which ones will clear it out. Since the Architect doesn't press play with a pre-made set, he has the flexibility to react to the vibe of the crowd on the fly.
We also use an online planning website and app. We prefer if you can specify your music tastes and favorite songs before the event. This way, we are all on the same page.
Yes, absolutely, and we prefer if you do! When you hire us, we treat this a partnership and will always be open to your musical preferences and requests. This is why we ask for your music in advance. While not impossible, it is more difficult to add songs we don't have mid-event. This is why with our top of the line event planning website and app, we can make sure we have all your requests beforehand. Here at Architect Entertainment, we are always prepared and flexible.
You can select songs that you would like to hear (as well as songs you don't want to hear) through our wedding planning website and app. Once a deposit is received and our contract is signed, you will receive your login information via email and text. The number of songs requested is totally up to you, but we cap this at 50 songs for the dance set.
Please plan on providing the DJ with at least 15 - 20 songs of different genres and artists that you would like to hear. If you do end up requesting a lot of songs, just remember the time constraints of your event. During our final meeting, the Architect will ask about your music selections, preferences, finalize all event details with you, and will expect to receive final payment.
The Architect has his is own Mixcloud page where he posts his original DJ mixes. However, he does not post any of his wedding or event mixes, as each event he does unique to that client.
The Architect's Mixcloud page is located here: www.mixcloud.com/deejayarchitect
While its by no means normal, occasionally incidents are unavoidable, however we have a plan. When you book us and we cannot perform, we will find another DJ to perform at your event for you. In the (unlikely) event that something does happen, you still get a professional, experienced, and talented event or wedding DJ that the Architect has worked with in the past. Emergencies may be unavoidable, but that's no excuse for your event to be music-less.
For weddings, this is a requirement in our contract. Typically, the catering director or event coordinator will set us up with a meal at the DJ booth. We would prefer to be fed early on, so we can keep the wedding moving and on schedule.
For Private Parties, Corporate Functions, and Nightlife, this is optional and is up to the client.
